Rafting Trip 2019
The best bit about the rafting trip was swimming in the river because we had so much fun. I liked sleeping in the tent. Rickon

When the school went rafting and stopped at the campsite the adults said we could go into the bush. Henry, Zara, Lily and I found forty cicada skins. I found out they could stick to my clothing. Hunter
I liked when my mum was holding me when I jumped off I made a big bomb. I loved rafting! It was fun when my mum and I went swimming down the rapid. It was fun when my mum and I went down the river in the duckie. The food was delicious! =) Zara
Our school went on a raft trip at river valley lodge, we went on the Rangitikei river. It was very fun when we went swimming and in the mini world pool! Our school and I enjoyed it very much, and we are thankful to the raft guides, our principal and all the parent helpers. Annie.
Our Pukeokahu school raft trip was at River valley lodge. When we had all arrived we got the appropriate river gear and sat down for the safety briefing. Then soon after that it was time to get on the river! For me the highlight of it all was flipping the raft I shared with my sister! As soon as we got to camp we all: Ran, jumped, climbed, collected cicada shells and explored the bush around us. I am looking forward to next time! =) Isla.
On the raft trip Isla and I went on the ducky. On one of the rapids we flipped and I ended up under the ducky. After a bit we went into big-red. Then Miranda and Mrs Casey went into the ducky. Keeva
Christmas Party 2018
Last night we held the Pukeokahu Christmas party at the local hall. Chrissie came to help the children with their singing.
Awards were given out to Pippa for ‘The Pupil Who Most Displays the Pukeokahu School Values, to Kawana (who was unable to attend) for ‘the Pupil Who Shows the Most Improvement’ and to Tiana our leaving Year 8.
Then the ‘main event’ Santa and Mrs Claus. Thank you for dropping by you two.

Secret Santa
School Camp Out
The day started with making our version of goody goody gumdrops ice cream. Here they are setting in the freezer.
Back at school there was a ‘Puke’s got talent’ contest which was won by our birthday boy, Rickon. (Thanks to our judges Peita and Brooke). After tea there was the ice cream we had made in the morning followed by Rickon’s birthday cake. Next on the programme was movies and then possibly a bit of spotlighting….. School Camping Ground
This weekend, our school took on the look of a camping ground, when walkers who undertook our annual walk (up onto Aorangi this year) opted to set up camp on the school grounds. There were even some who slept in the tree hut.

Preparing the school pool for the season
The first job is to get rid of all the frogs. We had about two dozen who thought it was a great place to winter over.

Craft and Pet Days 2018
Wednesday morning was spent creating amazing items to take to Papanui Junction School for a combined Pet Day.

Strange things happened at Pukeokahu School today.
Be prepared to be scared out of your minds.
A creepy skeleton was eating people. It was eating brains. He ate 1000 brains.
He went to a home to eat more brains and more brains and more brains.
Zombie aka Hunter
On halloween there was a killer clown. Everyone was
going trick or treating. One kid arrived.
“Trick or treat”
Next minute the door opened by itself. Then the kid walked in side and said “hello.”
A clown came out the corner and blew the kid’s brains out. The clown shot him with a shotgun. The Skeleton aka Kawana
The Day of the Dead.
Most of the children from Pukeokahu School weren’t there, when Victoria had to go to a Monster Conference. Hopefully I will not get eaten by a zombie……………..
One hour later I got bitten by a zombie……..
I turned into a zombie and went back to school. I just came when my sister bit my arm off. I tried to eat her brains for payback. I became terrified. I should have just gone back home. Zombie aka Tor
On a scary Halloween everybody was spooky. I am a killer dog. I was eyeing up everyone. But mostly Tor. I bit her arm off and now I want her foot. I want everybody’s blood to drink, except Isla because she made me. The Killer Dog aka Pippa
On the day of the dead everyone was a monster. Their bodies were gone. The monsters took over. At the school there were only the monsters left……

Everyone is out and about. It’s time to scare. All the children are out trick or treating and I am ready to scare everyone… then a little kid runs up to me and says, “ You have a good costume,”
I said “This isn’t a costume so you better RUN.”
The little girl ran but I caught her and ate her. Then I caught all the delicious little children and took them back to hell to eat. Mahahahaha. Skeleton aka Annie.
It was a creepy halloween morning in Pukeokahu. There was a bloodthirsty, scary unicorn. A visitor came and knocked on the door.
“KNOCK KNOCK!!”
The vicious teacher said,
“Come innnn.”
A creepy killer clown came in and said,
“Hellooooo.”
Suddenly the creepy killer clown ran towards the children.
The bloodthirsty, scary unicorn used her unicorn powers and blasted the killer clown away. Then the unicorn became more evil then ever and devoured the little children…. one by one.

Deep in the haunted country of Pukeokahu school, monsters and the undead are lurking in the shadows waiting for their midnight feast, so beware all visitors, there monstrosity is scary. Halloween is here and they are all ready to kill. But hiding in the deepest darkest part of the school there is a killer clown, she knows when you are sleeping, she knows when it is time to kill! She is bloodthirsty and just waiting for some little children to come so she can devour them one by one!
